Starting Gold Nugget Tomato Seeds Indoors
You should start these seeds indoors at least 6-8 weeks before the last frost for an abundant harvest. Sow seeds in damp, not soggy, potting soil at a depth of about 1/4″ or so. The ideal temperature of the potting soil is about 70-75F for good germination which usually occurs in 7-14 days. Use of a humidity dome will ensure the potting soil doesn’t dry out before the seedlings can sprout. Use of a grow light is recommended once the seedlings break the soil. Light coming in a window will not suffice, the young plants will lean and get leggy. You may be interested in this video about how to start tomato seeds indoors.
