Naga Morich Pepper Seeds
$4.99
Minimum 15 seeds per pack
Description
This pepper variety originated in Bangladesh near the homeland of the Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Pepper). We acquired our original Naga Morich pepper seeds from a Pakistani gentleman who had brought them over from the “old country”. The Naga pepper does resemble the Ghost pepper with a less earthy flavor profile but a similar level of heat. Prolific bushy plants that average about 36″ in height. Naga peppers have a pimply but smooth skin. They are a fairly thin-walled chili approximately 2-3″ with only a small number of seeds. Pods start out green and turn bright red at maturity. Classified as a super-hot pepper. On the Scoville scale these peppers are around 1,000,000 SHU, one of the only known naturally occurring peppers to reach this level of heat. Excellent when used fresh but can also be dehydrated to create an extremely hot seasoning powder. A Bengali friend of mine tells me that her favorite use for the Naga is to chop up a single pod to mix with tomato sauce when making a pizza. Don’t miss out on a natural super-hot and pick up these Naga Morich pepper seeds.

Starting Naga Morich Pepper Seeds
Unless you live in a climate that is warm year-round, starting pepper seeds indoors is recommended. Plant at a depth of 1/4″ in sterile, moist seed starting mix. Place the sown seeds in a warm area, over 75F, for the best germination rate. The use of a humidity dome over the sown seeds will ensure they don’t dry out before germination occurs. Once the seedlings break the surface of the soil be sure to provide a bright source of light to ensure they don’t stretch and become “leggy”. Light coming in a window is rarely sufficient for proper growth. Even a south facing window is usually not enough. Providing light from a fluorescent or LED fixture over the top of your sprouts will ensure proper growth.
